Abstract Poetry

I’ve been reading a lot of abstract poetry in tamil lately. Thought of writing some in english. Read them and comment please.

Child was hugging the dustbin,

Motherly love.

**–**

There is no space

In my home

For someone

Whose body

Was my abode for ten months

**–**

Look at the earth

Said a mother

Feeding her child

Residing on moon

 **–**

A B C D

Read the child

From the waste paper

He collects for his living

 **–**

Acerbic smoke from the stove

Made me think

Isn’t female infanticide better?

 **–**

Servant of glamour actress

Was laid off

For letting her child run

Nude in the garden

 **–**

Prevent child labour

Said a poster

Plastered on the wall

By a seven year old

 **–**

“Customer is currently busy”

Message when trying to reach a girl

Who was chatting with her boy friend

When her father was dying of heart attack

 **–**

Moving the boulder on the road

Was a blind man

 **–**

“Love thy neighbor”

Teaching his son

Was my neighbor

Who hasn’t spoken with me in six months.

i dont know if its abstract or not but surely they are poetry and each poem is a satire on real life issue we have faced.

good work vignesh. All of these poems are a slap on the face of the our society and you have raised a voice against it. Kudos.

Though I was not able to take in or accept some abstracts, The last one really made me smile….Sometimes Harsh realities are tough to digest….Isnt it?
