Coleroon….

Coleroon a.k.a Grand Anaicut a.k.a KalAnai built by Karikal Chozhan is one of my most fav dams because

1. Its just 10 kms away from my home

2. The road to it runs along Cauvery and is good, and I love zipping through it in my car at 100Kmph

3. Has always retained some water and nice sand to build castles ever since I’ve moved to Trichy.

4. Has got some good diving and casual bathing areas.

Happened to go the dam late in the evening for the first time today. With surplus water oozing past all the eyes of the dam, the sound of gushing water, the roaring thunder, gusty wind and sparkling lighting just created a wonder which just made my nerves trickle and I was just sitting there watching the beauty before it started raining and I had to seek the refuge of my car.

I regret I dint have the mind to take my digital camera while going
