Well finally finished reading the much hyped Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows and to say honestly I stand by my previous statement, the fan fiction version was better.
Coming the point, I have been left with serious doubts after reading through the book. Will somebody make it clear for me?
Firstly, regarding the elder wand.
I’m still not convinced the wand choose Draco as it master just because he removed it from Dumbledore’s hand. What is more intriguing is, as per the wand lore if the elder wand needs to be won over for its new master to make full use of it, how come Grindelwald become the new master when all that he did was steal it from Gregorovich?
If according to the beliefs the elder wand was the most powerful in the world, how did Dumbledore manage to beat Grindelwald in the duel?
It has been explained that goblins treasure objects of their make and Griphook took the sword of Gryffindor with him after the encounter at Gringotts, then how does it reappear from the sorting hat at the end of story?

if i write about C Plus Plus, Java, Vb, Xcode and stuff will it get into your brain? same thing happened with me. after reading your blog. i am in a state of shock. what is this??
actually i am not so much into magic and stuff. i have not even seen or read LOTR. so a talk on magic make me feell as a child lost in an adult bar
Im skipping this post after the first 2 lines.. I dont want to read Latin or Greek
@santosh,scribbler : I understand, will write on more inclusive topics from now..
@santosh : any talk on c++,java,vb are welcome but whst is Xcode?

well somehow the wand was moving from one hand to another… either by killing the owner or makin ghte owner loose it when he is not ready.. or like in the same way as harry got teh ownership as he defeated draco.. thats how grindlewalde became the owner..
dubeldore defeated grindlewald as he was the true owner.. because he defeated grindlewald once in his house at godric hollow..
and about the sword.. it never belonged to goblin.. they always thought that the think which they made belongs to them once the owner(who buys it) dies.. and sword was suppose to come to true griffindor whoever needs it ever.. I just hope this answered ur question..
P.S:- u cud hav cm with some spoiler warning in top of the post.. u are acting like a spoilsport for those who havn’t read it..
C’mon man.. this topic ….pls. put an end …..
I agree with you scribbler..
@santosh : thanks for the info.. will chk out..
@anand : Agreed in case of malfoy..but if you rem all that harry saw thro voldemort when he encountered gregorovitch and read his mind was grindelwand stealing and running off with the elder wand, stealing isn’t winning over is it?
@bee:sry.. next post will be general.. promise
@anand : sry for not putting spoiler warning…
@vigneswaralu, anand: I guess the wand also has a mind of its own. It can also choose. And besides, Rowling insists that wandlore is pretty complicated and difficult to predict. So, its probably just providence.
The Griphook thing probably implies that human magic is more powerful than Goblin magic.
@aditya : hmm.. so wandlore is complicated is the only justification is seems..
but u havn’t answered my other question..
if the elder wand is the most powerful in the world how did dumbledore beat grindelwald?
Because he did not own it! So it does not work well for him just like it dint for voldemort against harry in the very last encounter.
@aditya : then the whole story is baseless… if grindelwald dint own it so did dumbledore, malfoy, harry… what say?
see the point is, you are looking by considering a small part of the fictional gyaan and then trying to “predict” what should happen, and when this is not the case, you are saying the story is baseless. the point is that it is a story, not a theory based on logic or something. life is not really like that. and i think it is unfair to evaluate the story on that basis. instead IMHO, you should try to explain what happened in the story using whatever “fictional gyaan” is available and see it if fits.
now, if you agree with me, i think it is easy to explain it based on the foll. fictional gyaan to satisfactorily explain what happened:
0) Wandlore is complicated and it is not supposed to be predictable. If it was, why do you think Ollivander does not simply say so?
1) Wands have minds of their own and can decide to choose their owner. so its probably not the only way to claim wands to do it by killing/defeating the prev. owner.
@aditya : dude..chill… i agree with your viewpoint…
